A Nursing Degree

A nursing degree is almost always required in the UK regardless of which specialism or sector you choose. More information is available via UCAS here.

Choose Your Specialism

When training to become a nurse, you’ll have to choose from one of the four main specialisms:

• Adult nursing
• Child nursing
• Mental health nursing
• Learning disability nursing

Register With the Nursing and Midwifery Council

Once trained, you’ll need to register with the Nursing and Midwifery Council. This will get you well on your way to starting the career of your dreams!
